Istanbul light rail vehicles RTE

Delivery: 2013 - 2014

Between 2013 and 2014 Vossloh Kiepe in Düsseldorf delivered the traction equipment, the on-board power supply system, the vehicle control system and the air conditioning system for two prototype vehicles and 16 series vehicles of the high-floor vehicle series RTE 2010 via its Austrian subsidiary Vossloh Kiepe in Vienna.

These vehicles were manufactured on the spot together with the transport company of Istanbul, Ulasim Istanbul. Vossloh Kiepe in Düsseldorf was responsible for the engineering of the on-board power supply system, the traction equipment and the vehicle control system. The first two vehicles took up passenger operation in January 2014. The RTE 2010 is 20 m long, has two motor bogies and one trailer bogie, offers space for 120 passengers and can reach a maximum speed of 80km/h.
