Deadman's Pedal Kiepe TFS 001/Built-in design

The operability of rail vehicles is normally controlled by a deadman’s circuit which the driver activates by a deadman’s pedal.
The deadman’s pedal TFS 001 is designed for recessed installation into the floor or height-adjustable platforms.

To indicate readiness to operate the vehicle, the driver has to press the deadman’s pedal down into the midway position until encountering a point of resistance. The brake contact is closed in this position. The contacts can be switched over into the other positions by either taking pressure off the pedal or pressing it into the end position.
